Beautifully crafted, calm yet bright, 'Caffeine' is the manifestation of a perfect indie sound. A clean, mellow guitar coated with a sweet vibrato effect right beside mesmerising vocals. Establishing the chords and their interesting patterns, we are introduced gently to the emotion of the song, entering into a flawlessly built ambience. The voice reveals colourful melodies and harmonies showing the appetite to express feelings. Rhythmic patterns combined with bass is steady and heavy, keeping a balance between everything that plays on and between the beats. The silence or the empty spaces with respect to all elements contains the magic in this composition, giving scope to reverbs and delay effects to sustain their impact creating a delightful atmosphere.

The climax of the song starts to bring more motion with a layer of depth over from the bridge section. Distant vocals carry higher notes, echoing chord progressions, sit behind a sick guitar solo with nice variations toward the end of the song. Listeners are definitely going to put this song on replay.

A traditional old-school rock single with punchy drums brings a blast of emotion that runs throughout the song. Well written and composed, this song starts by giving us a combination of synth organ, deep bass and guitars. Vocals are layered with harmonies and the piano is mixed perfectly, nestled among other musical elements. The transition from verse to chorus is very smooth and reveals the overall character of this song. Popular chord progression stays consistent throughout the song. Snare pierces through the rhythmic pattern and spaces in between are filled with guitar leaks. The guitar solo establishes the musical aspect that leaves a mark on the listener's mind.

The interesting part of this song is that it becomes more and more enjoyable as you listen to it over time. With unique vocal harmonies at the end of this song, 'Broken Dreams' feat. David Boulianne produced by Daniel Damian holds the ability to make a remarkable place in rock music.

'Vibes for Miles' album by Scott Waters
Beginning with a hopeful, cheery spirit, Scott presents us with a wonderfully written and composed song filled with melodic vocal harmonies, surprising chord progressions sustained by bright fresh and deep sounding guitars, and a rhythmic pattern chasing the next beat. We immediately get an idea of how the album is going to progress - but there are surprises! There is a well-maintained theme throughout the album. All songs utilise and shine a spotlight on every single instrument used in the album by allowing them their own individual chance to shine alongside vocals. Jucy fillers, small cameos of various instruments throwing shades of multiple genres and crunchy guitar solos are sprinkled throughout.

To name but a few favourites, 'Gypsy Heart' contains elegant piano and string elements. 'You Are Everything' is catchy and just urges the listener to sing along. 'We Don't Talk Anymore' is a melodious and deliciously traditional heartbreaking song at the core, and 'Whiskey Nights' holds an extraordinary and impactful duet. I have been writing and performing music since I was a teenager. I have worked on other artists albums over the years but now have finally recorded and released my first solo project. PEACE SIGNS AND DRAGONFLIES.

After sifting through over 100 home demos I found these 12 to be some of my favourites. I hope you enjoy listening to them as much as I have enjoyed writing and recording them. It truly is a labour of love for me. During the making of this album, I found myself inspired to make music again. With a little luck, I will be back in the studio recording my sophomore album soon. Thank you for visiting my web page. Hope you enjoy the music.

A perfect new year song 'by 2022' by Tom Tikka & The Missing Hubcaps will be released on December 3rd, 2021, everywhere.

About Tom Tikka & The Missing Hubcaps:

Tom Tikka & The Missing Hubcaps
"Tom Tikka picked up the guitar at the tender age of six after hearing Paul Anka’s “Lonely Boy” in his father’s old Chevrolet. Soon afterwards, he began writing songs. Tom’s infatuation with music only deepened after his aunt’s husband Timo "Oippa" Oinonen introduced him to the concept of lead guitar and even more important to the music of such legendary groups as The Beatles and The Doors.

Tikka formed almost as many groups as he disbanded in his late teens and early twenties. Yet, when he finally signed his first recording contract on his 21st birthday, it was a solo deal and not a band effort. He recorded a three-song EP for Olarin Musiikki, a small indie label in Espoo (Finland), under the alias of Tom Spark. Unfortunately, the EP disappeared as quickly as it was released. Consequently, Tikka found himself in square one, without a band or a record deal.

Disappointed, Tom withdrew from music for a few years but began writing songs again once his brother Lappe Holopainen suggested that they form a songwriting team. Lappe had founded a group he was convinced would go far and he needed tunes for his new outfit. This group was Carmen Gray.

Carmen Gray was signed to Sony/BMG in 2005 and during the next nine years, they went on to record three albums and one EP. The group's entire catalogue (including such radio hits as “Lost In My Mind Again”, “Gates Of Loneliness” & “Life Can Be Beautiful”) was penned by Tom Tikka & Lappe Holopainen.

After Carmen Gray disbanded in 2013, Tikka formed his current group The Impersonators with poet Antti Autio. In 2017, The Impersonators signed with FBP, a German label based out of Frankfurt. Together with their producer Janne Saksa, the Josie Award-nominated The Impersonators have released tunes to rave reviews, a considerable amount of radio attention and chart success: “Rodeo” rose to #1 on the International iTunes charts and “Scarlett Hell” to #9.

In April 2020, Tom began working with MTS Records and has since released three critically-acclaimed solo EPs, one album and several iTunes hits, including the two #1 singles: "Doormat" & "With Eyes Closed".

In 2021, Tom Tikka won an ISSA award for International Male Emerging Artist Of The Year. He was also awarded four Josie-Award nominations as well as a nomination in the prestigious Hollywood Music In Media Awards."

All of My Friends - Live Acoustic by The Little Wretches

About The Little Wretches:

The Little Wretches the band
"The Little Wretches was co-founded by brothers Robert Andrew and Charles John Wagner. Bob wrote original songs and adapted traditional folk songs, tried to sing and accompanied himself on guitar while Chuckie worked out counterpoint melodies on violin.

“My songs are mirrors, and I often begin or end my performances by playing a version of The Velvet Underground’s “I’ll Be Your Mirror” extended to more than ten minutes in length to include some of the images that most shaped my view of the world as a young man—working men and women enslaved in pursuit of the dollar, the now-vacant void from whence the spirit fled filled with the distraction of mindless entertainment, alcohol and assorted drugs, people so numb that self-destructive violence has lost its impact and the only way they can hope to feel anything is to hurt the people they love...God wanted me to grow up to defend the weak and vanquish the evil-doers by writing songs and telling stories. And if I’m wrong, I’ve wasted my life.” - Robert Wagner

As frontman and chief songwriter/lyricist for 80s/90s seminal Pittsburgh rock band, Little Wretches, Robert Wagner rode a wave of local notoriety that led the band to the forefront of the underground music scene. The Little Wretches were founded as a folk/punk band by Robert (guitar) and his brother, Chuckie (violin).  The “classic” Mach 2 era of Little Wretches included Ed Heidel (bass), Chris Bruckhoff (percussion, wind instruments, backing vocals) and Bob Goetz (guitar), rounded out by Dave Mitchell (drums), Mike Michalski (bass) and Ellen Hildebrand (electric guitar.) This rock edition of the band performed regularly and helped the band build its massive following in Pittsburgh.  Michalski, Mitchell and Chuckie Wagner left the band, effectively ending Mach 2.

Mach 3 began with the addition of David Losi (keyboards) and Mike Madden (drums.) When Madden couldn’t tour, drum programmer Gregg Bielski took over.  When Ellen switched to bass guitar, this version of The Little Wretches entered the studio. They recorded two albums, with Angelo George playing the drums and Jon Paul Leone playing the guitar on a third. The national press, attorneys, managers, and publicists came calling, as did life’s obligations, and the Little Wretches disbanded in the late 90s.

Robert Wagner continues to perform at coffeehouses and small clubs. A Master’s Degree holder, Wagner also counsels abused, neglected, traumatized and court-adjudicated youth. He is the co-founder of The Calliope Acoustic Open Stage, an event that has lasted 15+ years. He has also recorded and released two new albums in 2020: Undesirables and Anarchists and Burning Lantern Dropped In Straw.  The former has spawned an iTunes chart-topping single and has received airplay on more than 115 North American AM/FM radio stations."

'Something Other Than You Are' by Jeremy Parsons
This song is the definition of gentleness, exploring the ideology of gratitude towards everything you have in the present. Lyrics asking what you would do if you were something other than that which you are prompt thoughts of the future or alternative imagined lives. Jeremy's easy-going voice and smooth melodic singing deliver core emotional triggers that support the overall flow of the piece. The percussive rhythm blends extremely well with the strumming patterns of the guitar with minimal varieties sprinkled just enough to add depth. Thoughtfulness can be heard in the composition, especially through the bassline and chord progressions.

Mark Joseph album 'Vegas Motel'
Mark Joseph narrates us through parts of his life in this album, with every song brilliantly composed and performed, including outstanding musical and lyrical fabrication. The tunes are extremely melodic and full of life, partly due to retaining rawness in production. Delightfully, it almost feels like it's performed live in a Vegas motel. Casting melodic and rhythmic dynamism yet maintaining a relaxed vibe overall is something rarely experienced in the world of music, but Mark hits the nail on the head. Like a river changing its flow from time to time, Mark Joseph, as an architect of this album, has really given us the ability to visualize his experiences through his songs.

Mark's voice changes its impact based on the tone of the song which shows us his commanding control over his voice. The listener will feel like they are looking at a storyboard drawn personally by Mark. Mellow guitars playing some creamy and spicy riffs, violins unleashing the delicious, sometimes complex melodies, mild bass and room for many variations and patterns are some of the exceptional displays of talent and true knowledge of the art. We are also introduced to groovy drums, percussions and, surprisingly, a beautiful flute, brass and organ that leaves an impact. Long musical phrases demonstrate the evolving character of this album. Indeed, every sound has a purpose and intention like each chisel stroke of a sculpture carved out of a single rock.

Mark Joseph's album 'Vegas Motel' is like a book that you wish to read again and again. Definitely listen to this marvellous album on Spotify or pre-order a CD.

'Feel Your Pain' is a medium beautifully crafted by Russell James that connects us with his message through his brilliant lyrics and melodies. Beginning with a song that drives us through a journey of emotions and sentiments, till the end, we are given a strong sense of self-discovery through emotions. This album is designed in a way that has a firm grasp of the genre but also explores a new dreamy theme layered on top. Organic instruments like acoustic guitars, drums, banjo, harmonica, piano, and violins united with wider synth pads, variable electric guitar tones and a warm bass by long-tail echos and reverbs.

These are the core ingredients of Russell's musical genius, each smoothly expressing Russell's sentiments. This album will leave an exceptional impression on the minds of many due to its unique portrayal and characteristics.

The 'Feel Your Pain' album by Russell James will be released on Friday, Dec. 3rd, 2021. Pre-save the entire album now for Spotify.

About Russell James:

"Like most musicians, Russell began playing at an early age. After years of piano and horns, Russell taught himself how to play the guitar and began writing his first songs at age fourteen. By his mid-20s, Russell had found himself was drawn to American folk music and bluegrass in particular. In 2006, Russell relocated from Pennsylvania to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Shortly after moving, he started the popular Southwestern Americana band The Porter Draw, who he would stay for eight years, releasing five albums of aggressive takes on American folk and country. In 2016, on the cusp of his first solo release “Rise”, Russell left the band and began touring the country in earnest. The folksy “Rise” was followed quickly by the EP “Seasons”, which gathered critical acclaim for its dreamy combination of folk and new wave music. At this time, Russell was selected as a National Parks Artist-in-Residence at Big Bend National Park. It was at Big Bend where Russell began the writing of his ambitious opus “Wave/Water”, which was released, again to acclaim, in April 2018. The album walked further away from traditional folk music and employed airy synthesizers, drum loops, and ethereal guitar to great effect. In Winter 2019, Russell released his first ambient album titled “Alarms”. This release included his first experiments in ambient composition and looping.

“Pay Attention” released in August 2019 is the result of two years’ worth of writing, composition, and production. Russell recorded the majority of the album at his home in the mountains of New Mexico and played most of the instruments himself. This album is a departure from Russell’s earlier work, focusing on electronic/ambient elements more than organic. It is a true combination of the dream-pop/ambient aesthetic and traditional singer-songwriter material; a genre Russell has dubbed “Dreamfolk”. During the pandemic of 2020-? Russell began work in earnest on the follow-up to "Pay Attention". He recorded the bulk of the album in his home during quarantine and was able to connect with his Albuquerque music cronies via technology to finish out the parts he couldn't do on his own. The result is a gentle, loping album containing some of Russell's best work. In contrast to his previous two efforts, "Feel Your Pain" relies more on organics and simple arrangements. "Fewer layers, more meaning," Russell has said. This album is set to release on 12/3/21. Russell is autistic and disabled.

Playing music is obviously a lifelong passion (or in autism-speak “special interest”) and he has often said it’s a compulsion to write and play. Playing music has offered Russ many opportunities he would not have had otherwise: He has toured the country extensively and gone on many adventures in National Parks and cities between shows. He loves living out of his bright-red Ford E-Series Van (he traded in his trusty Honda Element Camper, The Gray Haven early in 2019). Sleeping in nature and coming to shows smelling like a campfire or fresh off a river from fly-fishing is the norm for Russell. He couldn’t do this any other way, and he still needs a great deal of support while playing live shows. He is authentic on stage, pouring himself into his songs and the performance while being refreshingly open with his autism."

This album is a warm and rich journey accompanied by retro and old school qualities. Giving us a countdown at the opening track, listeners can quickly perceive the Indie vibe from songs. Radiohead characteristics align well with electronic accents, generating unique sounds that bring a colourful musical spectrum out of this album. With such a consistent tone distributed throughout all the tracks, we are also introduced to electric, acoustic guitars and keys that are perfectly mixed with Paul's edgy and outstanding vocals and harmonies. Unexpected and delightfully surprising chord progressions and variations in rhythmic patterns cues curiosity and heighten the listener's interest in the composition of each of the tracks.

Some songs have atmospheric or minimalistic musical elements and this approach makes the album timeless. Diving into the depths with addictive melodies sustained echoes and reverbs, warm, emotion-inducing writing, and outstanding musical style can be experienced throughout the whole album. This album is an exemplary lesson in musical master-crafting and is an unforgettable trip everyone should definitely experience.

About The Insufferable Paul Scott:

"Paul Scott began his career in music, writing and playing bass in angular NZ group Pop Mechanix. Despite court cases, a revolving cast of singers and multiple record labels, their single ‘Jumping out a Window’ became a staple of New Zealand pop culture. Relocating to Australia Paul formed Montana with Ken Stewart (Mr Blonde), Michelle Margherita and Steve Melville. Their first release featured 'Koolest Band' which received national airplay and high rotation on JJJ. A brief tour of the USA and a performance at SXSW led to 'Koolest Band' being included in the Hollywood movie 'You Drive Me Crazy'. The subsequent album ‘Bubblegum Love’ was released in Australia, Spain, France and the USA. Scott has since plied bass for various Australian acts, playing everywhere from community halls and malls in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to the Sydney Opera House. More recently Scott has released ‘Surrender to Robots’ also under his ‘Insufferable’ moniker which found a wide response and positive reviews which led to the creation of the new album Tea and Medals."

'As Above' album cover by Undermine
A song for listeners who are into real brain-melting rock. This is an excellent example of old-school grunge and punk. Rocking right from the start, this track boasts a hardcore rhythm and tempo consistently throughout. Drums layered with aggressive and distorted guitars, playing those traditional power chords gives the song a bold and full character. As gritty and punchy as the instruments are, so are the vocals. The depth in the 'scream' is one of the unique elements in this song. A light touch of melody layered within bold, energetic and gritty vocals makes this song stand out. The power and potential at which this song is performed is just outstanding and would be even more imposing in a live performance as well.

Variable rhythmic patterns switching the intense impact of the song in both verse and chorus makes the talent and passion of this band really shine. The challenging pace and pitch of this track show the immeasurable force of these artists in every aspect of their art.

About Undermine:

Undermine the band
"During the day, the band members are building skyscrapers in the Austin City Skyline, that they cannot afford to stay in; or working in hot kitchens when outside the temperature is 110 degrees. Undermine strikes and bites at the motto of "Potior Praelium Putatus;" a personal self-declaring allocation that you could translate from Latin into "Fuck, Fight, or Hold the light." Spreading Cowpunk in Austin, Texas, the Undermine band took shape from the roots of Austin’s living legends such as The Dicks, The Huns, 13th-Floor Elevators, Blaze, and Butthole Surfers. Eclectically distorted and infected by reality, this band prefers to self-define themselves, as one that is nowhere near as good. But considering the plethora of wannabe artists, aspiring rap stars, or 70s rock n roll cover bands raging out there, Undermines unique and eclectic touch is a sure-hitting delivery.

Sticking in your mind, and in your ears, their message is something difficult to forget or to remain unnoticed. Cody Cassell creates punk anthems for the riotous Undermine, writing songs that others could tend to decline blandly on plastic and wooden beats. Throwing intense Molotovs capable of exalting even the sleepiest of apathetic listeners, Undermine has nothing to share with cliché bands that struggle to appear tough and intellectual through a glossy patina. Their Unmissable New Album "Lost Funerals" is Out Now!!!! Give it a listen and see for yourself why this band is already making a difference! at least the Live Music Capital of the World, can still Rock... Well Kinda." Maximum RocknRoll.
